After being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19, along with everything else it seems, the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival is back on in 2021.
Mark those calendars for October 15, 16 & 17.
A staple of the community over the years, and drawing over 25,000 people, the festival is one of the most popular seafood festivals in the Southeast offering carnival rides, live music, arts and crafts and tons of other activities for both adults and children alike.
Don’t forget the seafood. You’ll always find some of the best and tastiest local fare that coastal Georgia has to offer.
The three-day event is held at J. F. Gregory Park, a 335-acre multi-use recreational area, located at 521 Cedar Street in Richmond Hill.
Of course, any COVID-19 protocols that are still in place come this October must be followed by attendees, but we’re fine with that.
We’re so happy that it’s back, and we hope to say this again, and again, and again about even more of our festivals and events around the Savannah area as 2021 goes on and we start to get further and further away from the COVID-19 life.
